Razer just dropped a complete refresh of its esports-focused headset line with the new BlackShark V3 family for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 gamers. This lineup was first unleashed in 2012 and has always been about competitive performance. There are three new models on offer. Let’s check their specs out.
Three new models with major upgrades
The heavy hitter is the BlackShark V3 Pro. This is a flagship model packed with tech designed to give competitive players an edge. For one, the headphones feature Razer’s new HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 connection which boasts a low 10-millisecond latency. The company also upgraded the audio engine with its second-generation Razer TriForce Bio-Cellulose 50 mm drivers.

For PC players specifically, the V3 Pro supports THX Spatial Audio 7.1.4, which adds four virtual height channels to create a more convincing vertical soundscape. For your own voice, there’s a new mic Razer calls a HyperClear Full Band 12 mm detachable, which features a 48 kHz sampling rate.
Beyond the hardware bits, Razer has included 12 specially tuned audio profiles for popular esports titles. These EQs were curated by professional players and you can save nine of them directly to the headset. The V3 Pro also introduces hybrid active noise cancelling to help you block out distractions and focus.
And in what’s a first for the company, these headsets also support simultaneous 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connections. This should let you manage audio from your game and phone without a fuss.
Of course, the BlackShark V3 Pro, being a flagship model, commands a flagship price too at £249.99 (roughly Rs 29,112). If that’s steep, Razer has other options. The standard BlackShark V3 comes in at £149.99 (roughly Rs 17,469), losing the ANC and some of the top-tier specs. The most affordable entry into this lineup is the BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed, costing £99.99 (Rs 11,645).
All versions are available for PC and consoles, with the Xbox and PlayStation models sporting green or blue trim and support for Windows Sonic or Tempest 3D Audio respectively. There’s no word on a launch in India as of yet.
