The “Cromtastic” December sale is live, and one of the headline acts is definitely the MacBook Air M4. While we usually see price drops on older models, Croma has slashed the price of Apple’s latest laptop to an effective Rs 55,911.
Considering the machine launched only this year in March, that is a big drop from the MRP of Rs 99,900.
How to get the MacBook Air M4 at Rs 55,911
Okay, there is a bit of maths involved here. Now, the standard MRP for the base M4 MacBook Air is Rs 99,900. However, if you are a student or a teacher, that price immediately drops to Rs 88,911 on the store floor.
From there, you can shave off another huge chunk. Croma is offering a flat Rs 10,000 cashback if you use specific bank cards (like ICICI or SBI). Then comes the trade-in. If you have an old laptop lying around, you can get an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 on top of the device’s value. If your old machine fetches the maximum exchange value of Rs 13,000, you are looking at a total reduction of Rs 33,000 from the student price.
Do the sums, and you land at Rs 55,911. Even if you don’t have an old laptop to swap, getting the M4 Air for effectively Rs 78,911 (with just the student and bank offers) is still a steal.
Why the MacBook Air M4 is a steal
“But is the M4 really that different from the M3?” Honestly, it is mostly a spec bump, but what a bump it is. The M4 chip is ridiculously powerful for a machine this thin. Unless your goal is trying to render 8K video in seconds, you likely won’t even hear the fans – mostly because it doesn’t have any.

But the real reason this is such a winner is the memory. Apple finally killed the 8GB base model, meaning this starts with 16GB of unified memory. That makes it very future-proof. Plus, the design is still the best in the business. Plus, you get an incredible screen and perhaps the best trackpad in the industry.
