Do you still need a power bank in 2025? The answer is mostly yes; they’re an indispensable travel accessory. But with smartphone battery capacities now rivaling some power banks, that question is more relevant than ever. This year has seen a surge in ultra-high-capacity batteries.
Now, Realme is pushing boundaries further with its latest concept smartphone featuring a mammoth 10,000mAh battery. That’s as much battery capacity as some power banks have in 2025! Battery anxiety, who?
Realme unveils concept phone with a massive 10,000mAh battery
Realme’s new concept device features an ultra-high-density silicon anode battery with a 10 per cent silicon content. This is the highest in the smartphone industry, according to the company. With an impressive energy density of 887Wh/L, this battery is designed to deliver extended usage without sacrificing sleekness.
Despite packing such a massive cell, the phone is only 8.5mm thick and weighs just over 200g. The concept aims to eliminate battery anxiety, which has become a major concern for users when purchasing a new smartphone.
To accommodate the large battery, Realme has introduced a ‘Mini Diamond Architecture’, enabling smarter internal space utilisation. This innovation includes what Realme claims is the world’s narrowest Android mainboard, measuring just 23.4mm.

The company holds over 60 international patents for this cutting-edge architecture, which also includes a semi-transparent back cover that offers a glimpse into the device’s inner workings.
Realme has a strong track record in battery and charging innovations. Past milestones include the 240W fast charging on the Realme GT3 and a 320W concept charging solution.
So, what do you think of Realme’s concept phone? Would you be excited to own a device with a 10,000mAh battery and minimal design compromises? Let us know and stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for the latest updates in the world of tech.
