Red Magic is back with a new performance-oriented phone, and this one is an ultimate gaming device featuring two chips and a large battery. It also has a fast display and an aggressive design. But, there’s a catch, you can’t buy it.
What’s special about the Red Magic 11 Air
The Red Magic 11 Air comes with a premium, yet aggressive design that’s targeted towards gamers. You get a 6.85-inch display with up to 144Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming. It also has a 960Hz multi-frequency touch sampling rate. The screen resolution is set at 1.5K pixels, and it has an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 95.1 per cent.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with another chipset dedicated to gaming. Red Magic calls it the RedCore R4. There’s 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.
The Red Magic 11 Air also packs the ICE Magic Cooling System that is meant to help with the thermals. Despite being a gaming phone, it boasts a capable camera system. There’s a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide unit for group selfies. Upfront, you get a 16MP selfie snapper.

Apart from this, the device is also advertised to offer a great battery life. There’s a large 7,000mAh cell with support for 120W wired fast charging. The device boots on Android 16 and has a skin optimised for gaming and performance.
With these features, the Red Magic 11 Air is obviously a premium phone in the premium segment, but it’s not pricier than the competition. It starts at CNY 3,699 (about Rs 48,300) for the base variant and goes up to CNY 4,399 (about Rs 57,500) for the top variant.
While the Red Magic 11 Air looks like the perfect gaming phone, you can’t buy it in India. As you’d expect, it’s only available in China.
In India, however, you can check out the Realme GT 8 Pro and the OnePlus 15. Both are slightly pricier, but offer similar features.
