Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Pad 2 Pro in global markets, a tablet that clearly has one mission; to make your binge-watching, scrolling, and casual gaming last longer than your weekend. Launched alongside the Xiaomi Pad Mini and the Xiaomi 15T smartphone series, this oversized slate mixes a sharp 2.5K display, Snapdragon muscle, and a 12,000mAh battery that just won’t quit. Here’s all you need to know.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro announced: Features and specs
The star of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro is its 12.1-inch LCD panel, with a crisp 2560 × 1600 resolution and an adaptive refresh rate that climbs to 120Hz. Whether you’re swiping through Reels or playing a high-frame-rate shooter, the 360Hz touch sampling rate keeps things fluid.
Dolby Vision support and a peak brightness of 600 nits bring extra punch to movies, while wet touch technology means accidental splashes or rainy commutes won’t ruin the experience.

Xiaomi even offers a Matte Glass edition with AG nano-texturing, promising to cut reflections by up to 97 per cent. It’s a thoughtful nod to anyone who’s tried to stream a show on a sun-drenched balcony.
The tablet’s 7.5mm unibody metal build, weighing 610g, comes in Graphite Grey, Silver, and Lavender Purple, with optional keyboard and stylus support if you want to shift from Netflix to note-taking.
Under the hood sits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, paired with an Adreno 810 GPU. Storage options include 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro ships with Android 15 running Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, enabling shared clipboards, direct phone control, call sync, and seamless hotspot switching across your Xiaomi ecosystem.
Battery life is where the slate stands out. Its 12,000mAh cell promises up to 14.2 hours of video playback, 16 hours of reading, and more than 100 hours of music streaming. When it does run dry, 33W fast charging keeps downtime short, while 27W reverse charging lets the tablet double as a chunky power bank for your phone or earbuds.
Cameras include an 8MP front shooter for calls and an 8MP rear sensor on the Wi-Fi model, upgraded to 13MP on the 5G variant. Add in quad Dolby Atmos speakers, dual mics, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional eSIM 5G, and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro feels as much like a portable entertainment hub as it does a tablet.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro: Price and availability
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro starts at €299.99 (approx. Rs 31,200) for the 6GB + 128GB Wi-Fi model. The 8GB + 256GB version costs €349.99 (about Rs 36,400), while the Matte Glass edition comes in at €379.99 (approx. Rs 39,500). The 5G variant also starts at €379.99 (approx. Rs 39,500), and Xiaomi’s official keyboard accessory will set you back €99.99 (about Rs 10,400).
Already available across Europe and the UAE, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro is positioned as a binge-ready giant with stamina to match its screen. However, its Indian launch and pricing remain unknown so far. Are you waiting for this tablet to hit Indian shores? Drop a comment with your thoughts.
