Less than a month after its European debut, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G has landed on Indian shores. The Galaxy A17 is the company’s latest budget contender, and it has lofty AI ambitions, aiming to dwarf those of most budget phones in the arena.
Powered by an Exynos chipset and featuring AI features galore, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is shaping to be quite an interesting proposition for value-conscious buyers. Here’s everything you should know.
Samsung Galaxy A17 5G launched: Specs and features
Boasting a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G should prove to be a content consumption champ, even for those on the go. It’s tough too, with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, shielding your phone from scratches and possible cracks.
The phone houses the Exynos 1330 SoC, which is not a gaming beast, but it has a respectable NPU that should handle Galaxy AI tasks with ease. The phone comes with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
At a slim 7.5mm, the phone shouldn’t cause unnecessary strain when holding it, especially since it is only 192g.
As for optics, it’s pretty standard fare. The device features a 50MP primary camera that’s complemented by a 2MP macro shooter. Up front, the phone houses a 13MP camera for selfies. All of these features require a solid battery, and Samsung has fitted this phone with a decent 5,000mAh cell that supports 25W fast charging.
