If you’ve been following the leaks, you’ll know that Samsung could shake up its flagship Galaxy phone lineup next year. Three models will be sold, namely the Galaxy S26 Pro, Edge, and Ultra. Gone is the Plus, and the vanilla Galaxy S25 would be replaced by a Pro.
Now, courtesy of leaks, we have more details about what this lineup is going to look like. Samsung has reportedly slimmed the Galaxy S26 Pro, Edge, and Ultra compared with this year’s models and kept the headline features intact. A leak points to a design push that shaves millimetres across the board while still holding on to battery life and the Ultra’s signature stylus.
Shedding millimetres while also improving specs
The Pro, which replaces the old base model, is said to measure just 6.7mm thick down from 7.2mm. The Edge goes even thinner at 5.5mm versus 5.8mm and somehow carries a larger 4,200mAh battery up from 3,900mAh. The Ultra dips under 8mm at around 7.8mm compared with 8.2mm for the S25 Ultra and it still keeps an integrated S Pen.

The Ultra reportedly retains its 200MP camera and gets upgraded charging, which suggests Samsung is optimising internal layout rather than trading away features. Of course, there are limits to how slim the model can get. It cannot realistically drop much further without rethinking the S Pen or moving it outside the chassis.
Those numbers are from internal prototypes so expect some wobble before launch, but the trend is clear. Samsung appears to be stacking engineering wins generation over generation. The company has been slimming bezels and chassis without surrendering the things enthusiasts care about such as battery capacity and durability.
As for the Edge, again, previous leaks had already confirmed an impressive thinness of 5.5mm. The phone will compete with the purported iPhone Air, which is expected to be just as slim, if not slimmer. It’s arriving September 9.
Samsung is expected to announce the S26 family in January 2026. That’s still several months away, so for now you might want to check out September 4’s mystery Galaxy event for now.
