Samsung Galaxy M36 5G lands in India with Exynos smarts, and a Galaxy AI glow-up

Samsung’s latest mid-range missile has landed. The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G officially launched in India on June 28, and it’s not just another budget phone chasing specs, it’s here to democratise premium features, and maybe give a few pricier rivals something to sweat about.

With an Exynos chipset, Galaxy AI features, and a gorgeous AMOLED display, the Samsung Galaxy M36 5G certainly impresses in terms of specs. Here’s everything you need to know.

Samsung Galaxy M36 5G: Everything you need to know

At first glance, the M36 5G checks every spec sheet cliché. It has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display boasting a buttery 120Hz refresh rate, hardened by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for that extra edge of durability. Under the hood, a 5nm Exynos 1380 processor pairs with up to 8GB of RAM, while a robust 5,000mAh battery supports 25W fast charging to keep you going without pause.

But where Samsung really stands apart is in its software and smart feature integration. Running One UI 7 out-of-the-box, the phone promises a whopping six years of security updates alongside six generations of Android upgrades, redefining what longevity means in this segment.

Galaxy AI features like Generative Edit, Circle to Search and Gemini Live are now standard on a mid-range handset, blending flagship-grade perks with accessible pricing.

The camera setup doesn’t shy away from expectations either. It features a 50MP main shooter with OIS and a 13MP selfie lens both shoot 4K videos, while extras like Photo Remaster and Object Eraser offer creative freedom previously reserved for higher-end devices.
