Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra vs iPhone 17 Pro Max: Battle of the AI audio erasers

AI audio erasers on modern smartphones don’t get nearly enough credit. They can transform chaotic outdoor clips into something you’d actually want to post. So, we took the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max up to a breezy terrace to see how their next-gen AI audio clean up tools performs beyond polished keynote demos.

Samsung brings its Galaxy AI Audio Eraser to the table, while Apple has Audio Mix. Both promise cleaner voices in tough conditions, but once the wind really kicks in, their behaviour starts to diverge in interesting ways.

How the AI audio erasers compare

Before any processing, the iPhone 17 Pro Max captures fuller and more natural vocals. Its voice pickup feels true to life. Samsung is no slouch though; it is still clear and entirely usable although not at the iPhone’s level.

After applying the AI audio tools, the results shift. Samsung’s Galaxy AI Audio Eraser produces a cleaner track with stronger wind reduction and slightly fuller vocal output. The iPhone’s Audio Mix improves voice clarity, but it does make it sound tinnier. Listen for yourself below.

The takeaway is simple. Apple still has the edge in natural raw capture, but when it comes to AI prowess, Samsung’s audio clean up tool works more effectively. Which one do you prefer? Drop a comment below.
