The foldable future is knocking, again. And if the latest leak is to be believed, it’s packed tighter than ever, and ready to turn heads this July. Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 are no longer just whispers in the rumour mill. Thanks to a fresh scoop from Android Headlines, we now have our first look at what appear to be official renders; and they’re as sleek as Samsung fans could hope.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7: Bigger inside, smaller outside
Let’s start with the big one, literally. The Galaxy Z Fold7 is shaping up to be Samsung’s slimmest and lightest foldable yet, with a thickness between 3.9mm and 4.5mm when unfolded.
That 3.9mm claim might be ambitious, given hardware constraints and all, but even on the conservative end, it’s a design feat. What’s more impressive? A reported weight of just 215 grams, shaving off a notable 24 grams from the Fold6 and even undercutting the famously featherweight OPPO Find N5.
Samsung isn’t just going thinner, though. It’s going wider, specifically with the outer screen, which stretches from 6.3 to 6.5 inches. And the inner display will likely be a massive 8.2 inches, potentially making it the largest foldable panel on the market.

For context, OPPO’s Find N5 maxes out at 8.12 inches. These are subtle dimensional changes that could have major UX implications, especially in multitasking, gaming, and media consumption. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be available in Blue Shadow and Jet Black colourways, according to reports.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7: Small form, bigger moves
If the Fold is about expansion, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is about reimagination. This year’s Flip is bringing serious cover display swagger. We may get a near edge-to-edge outer screen that spans the full front panel.
Think motorola Razr Ultra-style, but Samsung-fied. The real question? Whether Samsung will finally let users run full apps on that cover display – a freedom Motorola’s already embraced.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Flip7 rumoured specs and launch date
Under the hood, it’s equally intriguing. The Fold7 and Flip7 are tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, Qualcomm’s newest overclocked beast, with a prime core hitting 4.47GHz. That’s laptop territory, in your pocket.
Add in 12GB of RAM and storage options up to 512GB, and it’s clear the phones aren’t just for the fashion-forward, it’s a powerhouse dressed in minimalism.
While Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the launch, all signs point to a Summer Unpacked event in New York City on July 9.
