Which Samsung phones will get the One UI 8 update?

Samsung has officially started pushing its stable One UI 8 update to users, and more importantly, it has dropped the full roadmap of devices getting the new software this year. The much-anticipated update, based on Android 16, began its journey on September 15, starting with the Galaxy S25 series.

Now, we have the complete list of all the other phones and tablets invited to the party.

List of devices getting the One UI 8 update

Samsung is showing pretty extensive support for its older hardware. The update isn’t just for the latest and greatest. It covers flagships from the last few years, including the Galaxy S series going all the way back to the S22 family. The foldable lineup is also well-covered, with the update reaching the Z Fold and Z Flip lines down to the fourth-generation models. Even the popular Fan Edition models and a huge chunk of the mid-range A series are confirmed to get the new OS.

Here is the official list of devices that will get the One UI 8 update.

While this is the official list Samsung has shared for devices receiving One UI 8, it doesn’t tell the whole story. The M series and F series aren’t mentioned here, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be eligible.

The big story with One UI 8 is a major infusion of smarter AI. Samsung is introducing what it calls advanced multimodal AI capabilities across the system. Gemini Live is being integrated for more natural interactions and will even work hands-free on the cover screen of Galaxy Z Flip phones.

Google’s Circle to Search is getting an upgrade too, now with in-game assistance and instant on-screen translation as you scroll. Other new tools include an Audio Eraser that intelligently removes background noise from videos, personalised daily updates, and tougher device security through the Knox platform.
