Music production requires advanced audio technology to be able to collaborate with ease. Top-of-the-line professional audio equipment often comes with a hefty build, and not to mention, a hefty price tag as well. However, Sennheiser has taken a step towards tackling this segment with an accessible, lightweight pair of headphones with its latest offering – the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro headset.

Engineered with superior sound tech, the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro is built for sound producers aiming for accuracy and precision. Here’s everything you need to know.

Sennheiser HD 490 Pro: Features to look out for

For starters, the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro headphones come with an extremely wide, dimensional sound staging for premium driver performance and a more authentic sound reproduction. Users can choose to plug the headphone cable into either the right or left earpiece, keeping in mind different studio setups and preferences.

Sennheiser has also eliminated the pressure points to ensure comfort during long hours of usage. They flaunt a unique, open-back design for natural ventilation, which the brand claims is to make hours of work ‘feel like minutes’.

Lastly, Sennheiser HD 490 Pro also comes in a Plus variant that offers a trendy box, an additional 3m cable and an extra fabric headband pad.

Sennheiser HD 490 Pro: Pricing and availability

The Sennheiser HD 490 Pro and the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro Plus can be purchased for Rs 34,500 and Rs. 41,300, respectively. Both these variants are available online on major e-commerce portals. Other notable options within this price range include the Sony WH-1000XM5 Bluetooth Headset and Bose QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Headset.
