A great photograph demands great skill, and it goes without saying, great equipment. We’re talking about cameras, of course. Now, while there are many kinds to choose from, some of the most preferred models today happen to be full-frame cameras. Sony has just introduced its latest additions to its Alpha 7C series of cameras – the compact, full-frame Sony Alpha 7CR and 7C II cameras.

Sony Alpha 7CR features and key specifications

The Sony Alpha 7CR sports a full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor that’s back-illuminated. The effective image resolution on the camera stands at 61MP, coupled with the BIONZ XR image processing engine.

The ISO sensitivity on the device ranges between 100 and 32,000 for both still images and movies. However, this can be reduced as well as increased, to as much as 50 and 102,400 respectively, in the case of still images.

The Sony Alpha 7CR, as per Sony, is about 29 per cent lighter and 53 per cent more compact than the Alpha 7R IV.
