In a world where earbuds have become as essential as house keys and coffee mugs, Sony LinkBuds Fit aim to do something simple but significant, which is to fit into your life without calling attention to themselves.
Priced at Rs 18,990, they don’t scream luxury, nor do they cut too many corners. They sit right in that sweet spot for the everyday user who wants a little bit of everything, comfort, style, and solid performance, without needing an engineering degree to use them. Having extensively used them in the past few days, here’s our Sony LinkBuds Fit review.
Sony LinkBuds Fit design
Let’s start with what you’ll notice the moment you pop them in, the fit. These aren’t your usual “jam-and-go” earbuds. The LinkBuds Fit use soft, winged extensions, which Sony calls “Air Fitting Supporters”.
They gently anchor themselves in your ears. It’s not the kind of security you feel when something’s tightly clamped in place, but more like the comfortable grip of a well-worn sneaker. You forget they’re there, even during an hour-long conference call or a 5K jog. That’s the win here.

You can wear them while running errands, at your desk on a video call, or while watching something in bed at night, and you won’t have that urge to take them out every 20 minutes. They don’t poke or push. They just sit there, doing their job, and let you get on with yours.

The charging case is compact, smooth, and has a matte, slightly textured feel that makes it easy to grip. The buds themselves have a rounded, bubble-like shape that looks a little playful but never cheap. Whether you go for the subtle black or the soft pastel green, they feel stylish without screaming for attention.
Sony LinkBuds Fit features
Where the LinkBuds Fit shine is in the subtle tech that supports your day. The buds pause your music when you take them out, and resume when you put them back in. You can answer calls by nodding your head or reject them with a shake. No reaching for your phone while you’re elbow-deep in a kitchen mess.

You can also pair the buds to two devices at once, so switching between your laptop for a video call and your phone for a quick music break is seamless. It’s the kind of stuff that doesn’t sound exciting on paper but makes your daily grind smoother.
Sony LinkBuds Fit audio performance
Sound-wise, they bring a balanced, listener-friendly profile to the table. If you’re someone who switches between Bollywood bangers, chill playlists, YouTube podcasts, and the occasional news bulletin, the LinkBuds Fit adapt nicely. The bass has enough thump to keep workout music interesting, but it’s not so overpowering that it drowns out vocals or dialogue.

There’s a slight sharpness at the top end; the S sounds and cymbals sometimes catch your attention more than they should, but it’s not a deal-breaker. In fact, for everyday use, most people won’t notice. What you will notice is how crisp and detailed voices sound, whether it’s your favourite podcast or your boss explaining Q2 numbers for the third time.
The noise cancelling here isn’t “silence the world” powerful, but it’s clever. The buds use an onboard processor, Integrated Processor V2, same as the one found on the flagship WF-1000XM5, to adjust how much noise to cancel based on your surroundings.
But, probably due to the tuning of the processor, while they eliminate the screech of a coffee grinder at your neighbourhood café, they do a good job of softening ambient chatter or rumbling traffic when you’re out and about.
There’s also an ambient sound mode that kicks in automatically when needed, like when you’re walking down a street or sitting in a quiet office. You hear just enough of your surroundings to stay aware, without needing to constantly tap your ear.
Sony LinkBuds Fit battery life
Battery life clocks in at about 5.5 hours per charge, with an additional 16 hours from the case. That’s more than enough for most people’s daily use. Whether you’re bouncing between meetings, commuting, or just playing music on a lazy Sunday, you won’t find yourself hunting for a charger midday.
Unboxed Take: Who should buy the Sony LinkBuds Fit?
If you’re someone who wants earbuds that adapt to your routine rather than disrupt it, the LinkBuds Fit are worth considering. They’re not flashy, not feature-packed to the point of confusion, and not built for the rare audiophile. But for the rest of us, those who listen to music while folding laundry, take calls in the middle of grocery runs, or fall asleep to guided meditations, they fit just right.

Simple, comfortable, and quietly capable, Sony has managed to build a pair of earbuds that feel less like a gadget and more like a daily companion. And in a market full of look-at-me features, that’s a refreshing change.
For all the above reasons, we rate the Sony LinkBuds Fit 4.5/5. A few kinks here and there make them lose out half a point in our ratings, but the Sony LinkBuds Fit, otherwise make a pretty solid case for themselves.
