Star Wars Outlaws is coming out in August: Here’s all you need to know

Star Wars fans, have we got some news for you! Ubisoft has released the trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, the very first open-world game, based on what is one of the most loved science fiction franchises of all time. The game is slated to launch on August 30. Here’s everything you need to know.

Star Wars Outlaws: Storyline and system requirements

Star Wars Outlaws is one of Ubisoft’s first games to feature a female protagonist, and also introduces players to the “underworld” of the Star Wars universe.

It is a single-player third-person open world adventure game, set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The upcoming game follows outlaw Kay Vess and her companion Nix, as they try and pull one of the biggest heists ever seen, to escape a bounty put on their heads by Sliro, the leader of a criminal syndicate by the name of Zerek Besh.

As Kay, players will get a chance to explore various well known and new locations in the game, such as Tatooine, Kijimi, Canto Bight and Toshara.

The game will be made available across platforms including PC, and gaming consoles like PS5 as well as the Xbox Series X/S.

Star Wars Outlaws: Pricing and availability

Pre-orders for Star Wars Outlaws have already started, and doing the same for any edition of the game unlocks the Kessel Runner Bonus Pack, which includes a skin for your speeder and Trailblazer spaceship.

There are three editions of the game available. The standard edition, priced at $69.99 (approximately Rs 5,800), the Gold edition priced at $110 (approximately Rs 9,167), and the Ultimate edition priced at $129.99 (approximately Rs 10,800). Official prices for the Indian market are not out yet.

Pre-booking the Gold edition of the game lets you play the game three days before the official launch date and gets you two DLCs that expands the story with new missions and locations too. The Ultimate edition gets everything that the gold edition gets, along with two more cosmetic packs with new looks for Kay, Nix, your speeder, and the Trailblazer.
