Stuffcool’s Zeno 30W GaN charger isn’t wireless but it’s not entirely wired either

Stuffcool has just launched the Zeno, a downright ingenious 30W GaN charger that has snagged the title of India’s first to feature a built-in retractable cable.

We have all suffered the daily scramble for charging gear. It is a modern tragedy to have a power brick but no cable, or vice versa. But the Zeno fixes that by bundling everything into one tidy unit.

India’s first 30W GaN charger with built-in retractable cable

The pocket-sized powerhouse delivers a speedy 30W of juice through its integrated Type-C cable and a separate Type-C port. It is kitted out with Power Delivery and Programmable Power Supply (PPS) protocols, which translates to getting your iPhone or Google Pixel to a 50 percent charge in around thirty minutes.

Samsung users are not left out of the party either. The brick comes with full support for the company’s Super-Fast Charging standard.

But again, the main event here is the retractable cable. It extends up to 75 cm for a decent reach before zipping back into the charger’s body.

As for how the Zeno is able to cram so much into such a tiny package, it’s all got to do with Gallium Nitride, or GaN, technology. This advanced material allows the Zeno to be incredibly compact, measuring just 7.45 x 4.25 x 4.5 cm and weighing a featherlight 98 grams. GaN tech also ensures the charger runs efficiently and safely, keeping temperatures low while it works.

Moreover, when you need to power up two devices at once, the Zeno can split its output too and deliver a shared 15W across the port and cable.

Finally, the Stuffcool Zeno is labeled “Made in India” and is BIS certified for safety, which is always great to see. It’s available now from the company’s website and various local stores, priced at Rs 1,899.

Stuffcool is on a bit of a roll currently when it comes to “first in India” products. For instance, last month, the brand launched India’s smallest 25,000mAh power bank.
