Vivo has launched the T4R 5G in India, the latest addition to its T-series smartphone portfolio. Sporting a gorgeous quad curved display, it’s aimed at those who want their budget phones to look anything but basic.
With a curved display, 5G-ready Dimensity 7400 chip, and a premium-grade finish, the Vivo T4R 5G brings a surprising dose of flair to the sub-Rs 20,000 category. Here’s everything you need to know about Vivo’s latest budget bet.
Vivo T4R 5G: Specs and key features
The Vivo T4R packs a 6.77-inch Full HD+ quad-curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,800 nits. At just 7.39mm thick and 183.5 grams light, Vivo is calling it the slimmest quad-curved AMOLED phone in India. It’s available in two shades – Arctic White and Twilight Blue – that offer a cleaner, more elegant aesthetic than what’s typically seen in this segment.
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 5G chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Vivo is touting an AnTuTu score of around 7,50,000, calling it the fastest Android phone under Rs 20,000.
It’s also one tough phone. The T4R comes with IP68/69 water and dust resistance and MIL-STD 810H durability certification, not to mention a large graphite cooling system to keep gaming sessions cool and consistent.
Inside, there’s a 5,700mAh battery paired with 44W fast wired charging, and Vivo’s Bypass Charging system, which once again, helps keep thermals in check during gameplay.

The T4R runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 and will receive two years of OS updates and three years of security patches. AI tools like Circle to Search, AI Note Assist, AI Documents, and AI Screen Translation are baked in, putting some smart utility features into the mix.
Camera duties are handled by a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary shooter with support for 4K video, backed by a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is a 32MP sensor, which also records 4K! A rare bonus in this price range.
Vivo T4R 5G: Price and availability
The Vivo T4R is priced at Rs 17,499 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, Rs 19,499 for 8GB + 256GB, and Rs 21,499 for 12GB + 256GB. The phone goes on sale starting August 5 via e-commerce platforms, Vivo’s official e-store, and offline partner retailers. Buyers can also avail Rs 2,000 off via some bank cards or exchange offers, along with a 6-month no-cost EMI option.
