Vivo has announced a new gaming phone in China. This one is for those with a tight budget. The all-new Vivo Y300 GT comes with a gaming-ready 144Hz display, a Dimensity processor, and a massive 7,620mAh battery. Here’s everything you need to know.
What’s special about the Vivo Y300 GT?
The Vivo Y300 GT comes with a very non-gaming design. However, its internals make it a gaming-ready phone. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, which is meant for mid-level gaming. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Vivo has also offered a dedicated liquid cooling solution. It has the Ice Dome VC liquid cooling that ensures there’s minimal heating even during intense gaming sessions.
Other than this, the Vivo Y300 GT also has a gaming-ready screen. It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate support. The latter ensures you get a smooth gaming experience.
One of the other highlights of the phone is its battery. It houses a 7,620mAh silicon carbon battery with support for 90W fast charging. Vivo says that despite such a big battery, it’s able to go up to 50 per cent in 20 minutes.

The Vivo Y300 GT also has a decent camera system. It boasts a dual-rear camera system with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, there’s a 16MP front camera for selfies. Other features of the phone include an IP65 rating, dual-SIM 5G, and an Android 15 operating system.
The Vivo Y300 GT starts at CNY 1,899 (about Rs 22,600) for the base 8GB + 256GB variant and goes all the way up to CNY 2,399 (about Rs 28,500) for the 12GB + 512GB variant. It is now available for purchase in China. It’s unclear if it will launch in India anytime soon. But in the same price range, you can check out the Nothing Phone (3a) and the OnePlus Nord CE 4.
