Meta has added a new feature on WhatsApp that enhances your chat experience on the platform. This specific feature is for iPhones, and it lets users share and receive Live Photos. Unlike before, when Live Photos were static images on WhatsApp, you can now actually see the animated version of the photo.
Interestingly, these Live Photos are detected as Motion Photos on Android. This feature comes after a brief testing period in an old beta version of the app. Live Photos add both movement and sound, helping you cherish the captured moments.

All new WhatsApp features coming your way
Live Photos are enabled by default in the latest update of WhatsApp. Having said that, you don’t need to head to settings to turn on the feature. Just update your WhatsApp application on App Store for iPhones and Play Store for Android phones, and you can seamlessly share and receive photos that move and have sound.
In addition to this feature, WhatsApp also rolled out new chat themes for Meta AI. With new custom chat themes, you can make Meta AI truly yours. WhatsApp also rolled out new video call backgrounds with Meta AI and a couple of sticker packs in the latest update.
