WhatsApp borrows new Instagram features for better self expression

Meta has been quietly adding a couple of Instagram features to WhatsApp. First, it added the music feature, which allows users to add their choice of song to their status update.

Now, more Instagram features are coming to WhatsApp. The most notable ones include Layout and music stickers. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest features on WhatsApp.

Here are all the new WhatsApp features

First up is Layout.  Just like on Instagram, the feature lets you combine more than one photo to share it on your Status. Users can combine up to six photos and create a layout that they can share on their Status. This saves all the time and effort that would be required to upload each photo one by one.

In addition to this, WhatsApp has received music stickers. Previously, you were allowed to add your choice of music to photos on Status updates. But now, you can directly use a music sticker to show off your style, taste, and mood.

Further, users can now directly turn their photos into a sticker and share them on Status. So far, this ability has only been available in chat via the stickers tab.
