It’s the worst feeling when you finish a movie or a web series, especially when something is as good as Fallout on Prime Video. Based on the video game franchise of the same name, Fallout follows Lucy, who ventures out into the post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland of Los Angeles, as she looks for her kidnapped father, in the aftermath of the Great War of 2077.

Now, the show has been renewed for a second season. However, there’s been no indication of just when it will air. So, if you’ve not had enough of game-based content, here are 10 other movies or web series you can catch up on while waiting for Fallout season 2 to drop.

1. Hitman: Agent 47

Hitman: Agent 47 follows 47, a genetically enhanced soldier created by Dr. Petr Litvenko, a Ukrainian geneticist, who ultimately abandoned him as well. 47 is an assassin working for the International Contracts Agency, who is tasked with tracking down Litvenko’s daughter, Katia Van Dees, to protect her from a group of mercenaries.

2. Uncharted (2022)

Uncharted follows treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan and Nathan Drake, on their quest to find a 500-year-old lost treasure, hidden by 14th-century Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. The only catch is, they’re not the only ones after the treasure. Trying to stop them from getting there is corrupt billionaire Santiago Moncada, whose ancestors are claimed to have funded Magellan’s expedition in the first place.

3. Gran Tourismo (2023)

While Gran Tourismo is an adaptation of the game franchise of the same name, there is one crucial difference. This Netflix movie is actually based on a true story, and follows the life of Jann Mardenborough, a passionate player who was approached by Japanese car maker Nissan, offering him a position in their professional driving team.

4. Assassin’s Creed (2016)

Assassin’s Creed follows Cal Lynch, as he travels back in time to 15th-century Spain, after unlocking genetic memories hidden in his DNA. There, he lives the life of Aguilar de Nerha, a distant relative of his and a member of the Assassins’ secret society. His mission – to protect the Apple of Eden against the Templar Order, which is working to find it and enslave humanity.

5. Mortal Kombat (2021)

Mortal Kombat follows MMA fighter Cole Young, as he is tasked to find fighters chosen to defend the Earth realm against the Outworld in the 10th and final iteration of Mortal Kombat – a high-stakes fighting tournament. All of this, while battling his own personal demons, and being hunted down by assassin Sub-Zero.

6. Tomb Raider (2018)

Tomb Raider follows Lara Croft, a seemingly innocent bike courier who undertakes a journey to the tomb of Himiko, the Queen of Yamatai. Himiko is believed to command power over life and death, and her tomb also happens to be the last known location of Croft’s father. Beyond the supernatural, Croft also has to battle a shadow organisation on an expedition to find the tomb and weaponise the power that exists within.

7. Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023)  

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a horror film, which follows Mike Schmidt, a night guard at the abandoned Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The supernatural adventure begins when he discovers the that the animatronics within are possessed by the spirits of children murdered by serial killer William Afton. The movie follows Mike’s attempts to survive in the pizzeria and also bring the children’s culprit to justice.

8. Need for Speed (2014)

Perhaps one of the best-known names on this list, Need for Speed follows the life of Tobey Marshall, a mechanic who tunes as well as drives cars in underground races. As he struggles to keep his business afloat, he partners with the corrupt Dino Brewster, but is later framed for a crime and sent to prison. Cut to two years later, Tobey is out for revenge, with his only chance to take down Brewster being a high-stakes race.

9. The Witcher (2019)

The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter, as he struggles to find his place in a world where people are more wicked than monsters and beasts. This game-based Netflix series sees him, Yennefer of Vengerberg, a sorceress, and Princess Cirilla navigate the turmoil in the kingdom of Cintra following an invasion by the Nilfgaardian empire.

10. The Last of Us (2023)

The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic web series, set 20 years after a pandemic caused by Cordyceps – a fungus that transforms humans into zombies. Season one follows Joel, a smuggler, who escorts Ellie, an immune teenager across the United States, to help create a cure for the infection.
