Adobe’s AI Acrobat Assistant makes it easier to analyse complex contracts

Ever been in a situation where you couldn’t read that complex document or a contract without the help of your lawyer? Well, Adobe has a solution for this, and guess what? It’s an AI tool that will help you summarise complex information in a document or a contract, making it easier for you to understand.

Adobe has launched its very own AI tool for documents dubbed AI Acrobat Assistant. This tool will quickly break down complex information in contracts and documents, allowing you to gain insights from a file even without actually reading it.

Sounds good? Here’s everything you need to know about the AI Acrobat Assistant, and how you can use it right away to make your life easier.

Everything you need to know about AI Acrobat Assistant

Adobe’s new AI Assistant is an add-on service that will help Adobe Acrobat users to quickly summarise documents, breaking the information down into concise pieces.

Notably, the AI Assistant will offer a generative summary of documents, including complex contracts. The summary will include all the essential information neatly organised under different headers.

So, for instance, if you are reading a long financial report, Adobe’s AI Acrobat Assistant will organise things in way that you quickly get to know what those complex charts mean. Further, users can ask questions directly to the AI assistant about something that they want to know from the document, like “what was the budget assigned for a video project” or “How much of the budget have we utlised this year.”

Those who want to use the AI Acrobat Assistant need to pay $4.99 (about Rs 440) to get it as an add-on service in Adobe Acrobat Reader. To do that, users can head to the Adobe Website, sign in, and complete the transaction process.

While Adobe’s AI Acrobat Assistant looks like a great tool, it’s worth noting that existing AI assistants on the market, like Claude, also offer features like document summarisation. What’s good is that it’s free. However, it may not be able to offer the much-needed output that Acrobat Assistant might be able to offer. So, it might be worth giving a shot.
