After unveiling a bunch of devices earlier this month, Apple is back again with the launch of the AirPods Max 2. As the name suggests, this is the second-generation of the company’s over-ear headphones.
Apple introduced a minor refresh to the original AirPods Max with a USB-C port in 2024. The latest model arrives with significant upgrades over its predecessor. Read on to find out everything about the new Apple AirPods Max 2.
AirPods Max 2 key features, specifications
Apple has retained the same design for the AirPods Max 2. There’s a stainless steel frame, aluminium earcups, and breathable mesh canopy headband. The headphones also feature a digital crown for music playback and a button for adjusting sound modes. The former can also be used to capture photos remotely.
The new Apple headphones are equipped with an H2 chipset that also powers many newer AirPods models. This enables advanced audio features such as adaptive audio, conversational awareness, voice isolation, loud sound reduction, and personalised volume.
The new headphones also come with live translation powered by Apple Intelligence. Users can also respond to Siri announcements by nodding or gently shaking their head.
