Apple is reportedly working on next-gen AirPods Pro and AirPods 5

Apple updated its AirPods Pro 2 with AirPods Pro 3 last month, and that upgrade took longer than expected. The third generation of the AirPods Pro features the H2 chipset, which is quite reliable but also a bit old, as it was introduced in 2022.

Now, as per the latest reports, Apple is already working on its next-gen AirPods Pro with a new H3 chipset. Additionally, it’s also developing a successor to the AirPods 4. Here’s all you need to know.

All about the upcoming AirPods lineup

Apple is reportedly working on the next generation of AirPods Pro. The TWS earbuds may come with an H3 chipset, offering better wireless performance. That may also result in lower latency. Also, expect improved sound quality.

The H3 chipset may enable the much-needed processing power for the IR camera that’s expected on this model. It’s unclear whether Apple plans to change the design of the next AirPods Pro, as the existing ones aren’t very different from the 2nd generation AirPods Pro.

Apart from this, Apple is also rumoured to bring AirPods 5 soon. This pair will be an entry-level offering and may not include added features like a heart rate sensor or IR camera. However, we may see improved health tracking features. Reports also suggest a temperature sensor, but let’s not confirm anything as of yet.
