Apple has locked in June 8–12 for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference 2026, setting the stage for what is expected to be another software-heavy showcase with a sharper focus on artificial intelligence.
The 37th edition of WWDC will once again lean heavily on its online format, keeping access free and open to developers worldwide. There will, however, be a limited in-person component at Apple Park. Developers can apply to attend through a lottery system, with applications closing on March 30 and confirmations rolling out from April 2.
WWDC 2026: What to expect
WWDC has long been Apple’s way of setting the tone for the year ahead, and 2026 looks no different. The company is expected to unveil iOS 27 alongside updates to iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS and tvOS.
Developers will get first access to beta builds shortly after the keynote, with public betas typically arriving in July. A wider rollout is expected in September, likely alongside the next iPhone lineup.
The company is also expected to refine its “Liquid Glass” design language while expanding the scope of its Apple Intelligence suite.
Siri, in particular, is due for an upgrade. Reports suggest deeper contextual awareness and tighter integration across apps, with some speculation pointing to underlying models that may involve partnerships beyond Apple’s own stack.
None of this is likely to arrive as a single feature. Instead, expect incremental changes that make Apple’s ecosystem feel more responsive and better connected over time.
WWDC rarely delivers surprises in hardware, and this year is expected to follow suit. The real story will be how Apple positions its software for a future that increasingly blends on-device intelligence with cloud-powered capabilities, without losing the sense of control and privacy it continues to emphasise.
