From a smarter Siri to Apple Intelligence upgrades, here are 4 big changes coming with iOS 27

Apple’s iOS 26 is quite feature-packed, but it’s also buggy and does lack some features that we expected in the final version. For instance, Siri does have Apple Intelligence support, but it’s still not quite there yet, and some other features that were demoed at the WWDC weren’t really available.

But it looks like iOS 27 will do away all your pet peeves with the existing iOS 26, making your iPhone smarter and future-ready.

iOS 27 may reportedly come with smarter AI-powered Siri, Calendar, and several performance upgrades. Here’s all you need to know.

Smarter Siri

Siri in iOS 26 is smart, but it will get more AI-powered upgrades in iOS 27. With these upgrades, Siri will be more conversational and is expected to work like other AI-powered assistants. It is said to be context-aware and have a memory-like feature. It could also be proactive in suggesting things based on user habits.

Apple Intelligence across apps

Like Samsung, Apple plans to integrate its AI prowess across apps, Apple Intelligence could be integrated with Calendar, making it capable of suggesting meeting times. It may also automatically adjust schedules based on context from emails and messages.

Similarly, other apps may also get Apple Intelligence support. Safari may also gain AI-powered search, which is internally known as ‘World Knowledge Answers’.

We also expect some improvements to Clock, Notes, and other stock apps. Apple may also bring a new Health+ subscription that will leverage Apple Watch data, offering personalised guidance.

Serious performance upgrades

Apple is said to improve ‘quality and underlying performance’ of iOS with the next version. It is said to address all the bugs with the existing version, making it truly bug-free. But let’s wait and see. There’s no clue if Apple will make any changes to iPhone animation.

Apps optimised for the foldable iPhone

Alright, Apple’s major focus will slowly shift from the iPhone Pros to the foldable iPhone. And owing to this, it may start optimising apps that are well-suited for the foldable display. While it’s unclear, we expect some multi-tasking features similar to Android.
