Kicking off the week of launch announcements, Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17e. It arrives as the successor to the last year’s iPhone 16e. The Cupertino-based tech giant has not introduced many upgrades to the newest offering what is usually termed as the most affordable phone in the iPhone lineup.
Apple’s latest affordable iPhone packs incremental upgrades
On the iPhone 17e, Apple hasn’t added 120Hz ProMotion display from the iPhone 17 family. The OLED Retina screen remains the same at 6.1-inches. Apple has kept the wide notch on the latest offering instead of a Dynamic Island.

Apple has not made any cosmetic changes to the iPhone 17e. It retains the same design as its predecessor. The phone also has the same 48MP rear camera as the iPhone 16e. The latest offering is capable of recording Dolby Vision videos up to 4K at 60fps. It also comes with support for Spatial Audio and wind noise reduction.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17e houses the A19 processor that powers the iPhone 17. It supports Apple Intelligence features. The device is capable of playing AAA games. The phone features the brand’s proprietary C1X cellular modem.
The iPhone 17e is offered in 256GB and 512GB storage options. Apple hasn’t revealed the battery capacity, but the phone is compatible with 15W MagSafe and Qi wireless charging.
Software-wise, the iPhone 17e ships with iOS 26 out of the box. It comes with Roadside Assistance, Emergency SOS via Satellite and Crash Detection feature.

The iPhone 17e comes in Black, White, and Soft Pink colours. It starts at Rs 64,900 for the base variant. Pre-orders start March 4 with shipments commencing March 11
