Just a few weeks ago, Apple suddenly announced a new launch event in typical fashion. The brand’s new Let Loose event is set to take place later today, and while Apple has kept all its plans under wraps, leaks have already given us a fair idea of what to expect tonight.

Apple Let Loose event: What to expect?

A number of products are expected at the launch event tonight, but the highlights is expected to be new iPad Pro and iPad Air variants.

Apple iPad Pro

Apple is expected to launch two new iPad Pro models, succeeding 2022’s M2 iPad Pro variants. These will likely be in 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes, similar to their predecessors. However, the key change is that the new iPad Pros are expected to feature OLED display panels, and ditch the LCD and mini-LED screens that powered the older iPad Pros.

The new iPads are also expected to offer a performance boost over previous iterations. Together with the new OLED screens, this could make the iPads a more lucrative option for those who want the power of a laptop but the portability of a tablet, a narrative Apple has been using for the iPad Pro for years now.

Apple iPad Air

Apple is also expected to refresh its iPad Air lineup tonight, by launching a couple of new iPad Air variants. Reports suggest there could be a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air this year, alongside a successor to the 10.9-inch iPad Air. However, unlike the iPad Pro variants, these tablets will likely stick with LCD screens this year.

Other products

Apple’s official event logo animation for the Let Loose event on its website also suggests that the brand would launch a new Apple Pencil version today to go with the iPads. Among other changes, the new Apple Pencil is expected to sport interchangeable magnetic tips as well as haptic feedback.

Apple may launch a new Magic Keyboard along with other accessories at the event, although this remains to be confirmed as of now. More details including the pricing of the new products should be available later tonight.
