Gamers have a new gear in town!

The ROG Phone 9 FE is Asus’ latest gaming phone with AniMe Vision

Asus has launched a new gaming smartphone in select global markets. Dubbed the Asus ROG Phone 9 FE, the device builds on the design of the other ROG Phone 9 models. It has an aggressive design, AniMe Vision, and support for Air Triggers. However, since this is an FE model, Asus has toned down the specifications of the device by adding a year-old Snapdragon chipset, which is still powerful to handle all your gaming needs.

If you have been looking for a premium gaming phone, this could be the device to consider. So, read on to know the specifications, features, and price of this gaming phone.

What’s special about the Asus ROG Phone 9 FE?

The Asus ROG Phone 9 FE isn’t a regular device, but rather a gaming phone for all the gamers out there. It comes with a unique design, which is now standard for all the ROG Phone models, and packs a dedicated tech to power and showcase your gaming prowess.

Starting with the design, the ROG Phone 9 FE borrows design aesthetics from the ROG Phone 9 and the ROG Phone 9 Pro. It features a squarish camera island, matte back, and AniMe Vision, which is a feature that allows you to show your style statement. It can be the ROG branding, a text or logo from your favourite game, or simply a smiley to display your mood. With AniMe Vision, you can flaunt your gaming style.

Other than this, the device packs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which although is a year old, it’s still one of the most powerful mobile chips out there. This powerful chipset is paired with Asus’ GameCool 8 technology, that ensures the thermals are maintained even after extended hours of gaming.

Further, the smartphone has a large 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with up 120Hz refresh rate for regular tasks and up to 185Hz for gaming. While the screen is gaming-ready, it’s also durable, thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

The smartphone has 16GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage for faster file transfers. It runs on Android 15 out of the box with ROG UI, which is designed especially for gamers. Battery-wise, it packs a 5,500mAh cell with 65W Hyper charge fast charging technology. It also has 15W Qi wireless charging support.

Despite being a gaming phone, the device features a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP macro unit. There’s also a single camera on the front that can output 8MP images.

That’s all that’s special with the ROG Phone 9 FE, and compared to the ROG Phone 9, all that’s different is a slightly older chipset and a smaller battery.

Where can you buy the Asus ROG Phone 9 FE?

Unfortunately, the ROG Phone 9 FE isn’t available for purchase in India yet. The device is now available in select global markets, like Thailand. It’s unclear whether Asus plans to bring the device here in India.
