Asus ProArt Display monitors are the latest high-tech toys for filmmakers, photographers, video editors

It’s no mystery that a good monitor is a must for a great gaming experience. However, a good monitor is equally important for those who deal with multimedia production as well – whether photos, audio, or video.

And if you’re an editor in the market for a new monitor, check out the new ProArt Display series of Mini LED and QD-OLED monitors from Asus.

ProArt Display: PA32KCX 8K Mini-LED monitor

The 32-inch Asus ProArt Display PA32KCX is the world’s first Mini-LED monitor with an 8K resolution (7680 x 4320 pixels). It has a 97 per cent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits.

What’s more, the monitor supports several HDR metadata formats, including HDR10. If you’re wondering what all this means for you, it is simply that you, as a creator, can view how your content will look on several displays, before sending the same ahead.

The ProArt Display PA32KCX also provides a comfortable viewing experience, with features such as anti-glare and low-reflection technology. The features also ensure that content can be viewed without any light disturbances which may alter the colour and details on subjects, and also cause eye strain and fatigue.

Connectivity options on the monitor are also plenty, including HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 ports, as well as a USB hub, with dual Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C that support up to 96 W of power delivery.

ProArt Display: PA32UCDM QD-OLED monitor

The Asus ProArt Display PA32UCDM is also 32 inches in size. However, unlike the PA32KCX mini LED monitor, this one is a QD-OLED unit with a 4K UHD resolution, and a 99 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. The OLED monitor, which supports HDR-10 and HLG, provides for vivid colours, rich contrasts, and deep blacks. The monitor has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and a true 10-bit colour depth as well.

Connectivity options on the monitor are pretty much similar to the PA32KCX, with Thunderbolt 4 ports supporting up to 96W of power delivery, HDMI 2.1 ports, and a built-in USB hub.

What’s cool is, that the monitor has a base up to 50 per cent smaller than the previous generation model and has built-in anchor points as well as a partition wall bracket. This allows you greater flexibility in terms of installation and also frees up space on your desk.

Both monitors come with the ProArt calibration tool, to ensure you can view your content and work with it in both SDR and HDR mode. What’s more, both of them also support macOS as well as Windows, and work with professional calibration tools such as Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS.
