The Asus ZenBook Duo is back, this time with dual-OLED displays

The original Asus ZenBook Duo was a hit for many reasons. While the ZenBook series itself was not new to a secondary display, the full-size secondary display replacing the keyboard on the conventional laptop form factor was unique. Users could now use a lot more on-screen real-estate, and multi-task at the next level. However, one thing that creators still missed on the laptops, was both the screens featuring a colour accurate OLED panel.

Skip a year forward into time and Asus has delivered just that. The new Asus ZenBook Duo OLED sports a dual-display with all the bells and whistles of the original ZenBook, now with OLED panels. Here’s everything you need to know with it.

Asus ZenBook Duo OLED: What’s new?

The Asus ZenBook Duo OLED comes with a 14-inch laptops’ form factor, and two Asus Lumina OLED panels. Each half here, comprises a 14-inch, 3K (2880 x 1800 pixels) panel. There’s also 120Hz refresh rate on both panels.

You still don’t get a keyboard on this laptop, obviously, but Asus will still ship an attachable ErgoSense keyboard for those who absolutely need the feedback of a physical keyboard. For more casual typing use-cases, the second screen doubles-up as a touch-keyboard when you type, similar to most smartphone keyboards.

The laptop also features a 180-degree hinge, so you can lay it flat on your desk with both keyboards adjacent to each other. There isn’t a 360-degree hinge though, so you still cannot turn this beast into a 14-inch tablet.

What you can do, however, is place the laptop along its side when it is bent at an angle, use the keyboard attachment with an external mouse and practically have a dual-monitor workstation anywhere you go. There are also multiple software features to help you out with seamless multitasking.

The Asus ZenBook Duo OLED comes with Intel Core Ultra processors with a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit). Not many other specifications are revealed just yet, but we do know that the laptop comes with up to 2TB storage SSD. Oh yes, there are also Harman-Kardon tuned stereo speakers.

The pricing and availability of the Asus ZenBook Duo OLED is still kept under wraps, and those who are looking forward to get their hands on one should get more details in the upcoming months.
