Apple took the wraps off the new macOS 26 Tahoe, and it brings a whole lot of new features and changes. Starting from its revamped design to a bunch of added features, like the Games app and the Phone app. Here are the top five features of macOS 26 Tahoe.
Liquid Glass design & Smarter Spotlight
Like iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, Apple has added the ‘Liquid Glass’ design to macOS 26 Tahoe. It ensures that the UI looks more translucent for a cleaner user experience. The icons look fresh, and the Spotlight search bar looks minimal. Speaking of Spotlight, it’s smarter now, as you can find exactly what you are looking for, including a PDF file or a particular setting.
A dedicated Games app on Mac
Apple announced a new app called ‘Games’, and it brings Apple Arcade and the entire game library under one roof. This app is available across Apple devices, including Macs, so you no longer have to visit the App Store for your gaming needs.
New Apple Intelligence features
Apple also announced new Apple Intelligence features, and they are also coming to your Mac with macOS 26.

The latest features include Live Translation for Messages and FaceTime calls. The Shortcuts app is also more intelligent, as users can now create new shortcuts that are even more powerful. This includes a one-tap text summarisation or image generation shortcut.
Journal app on Mac
The Journal app on iPhone is now available on your Mac. macOS 26 Tahoe brings the journaling experience to the big screen. What’s great is that what you write on your iPhone is synced to the Cloud, so you can continue it on your Mac.
