Apple finally unveiled the much-anticipated iOS 26 with the ‘Liquid Glass’ UI. The latest version is said to be the biggest redesign since iOS 7. Having said that, we are all pretty much tempted to try out the UI once the stable version is available.

All iPhones eligible to run iOS 26
Like every year, Apple is sticking to its long-term software update promise. It will roll out iOS 26 to most new, recent, and slightly older devices from a couple of years back. This also includes the iPhone SE 2nd generation, launched in 2020, to the latest iPhone 16 lineup. Here’s the full iOS 26 eligibility list.

– iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus
– iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max
– iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus

These are all the iPhones getting the iOS 26 update. Unfortunately, Apple dropped three models from the support list. This includes the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.
iOS 26 features and release timeline
The new iOS 26 update brings the Liquid Glass look, which is inspired by the look of visionOS. It also brings a camera app redesign, new Apple Intelligence features, and updates to the messaging app. You can read all about that here.
As for the availability, developers can download the update right away directly from Settings. The public beta should be available next month, followed by a stable release this fall.
