Casio’s new Oceanus Manta watch flaunts a premium sapphire bezel and smart solar tech

Casio has expanded its premium Oceanus Manta range with the OCW-S7000F-2A, a slim, titanium chronograph that oozes a premium air. Announced in Japan, this new Casio watch is now up for pre-order at a whopping ¥220,000 (~Rs 1,29,800) and lands in February 2026, positioning itself as a confident alternative in the luxury sports watch space. If you’re enthusiastic about watches, here’s everything you need to know about Casio’s latest premium offering.

Blue hues, sapphire shine

The first thing you notice is the colour work. A deep blue main dial is paired with bright white sub-dials, achieved through high-opacity vapour deposition to keep contrast crisp.

Around it sits a sapphire glass bezel ring with white tachymeter markings, mounted on a multi-faceted titanium base that catches the light without shouting for attention. Dual-curve sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating tops it all off, while Neobrite lume keeps things legible after dark.

Despite the premium materials, the watch stays wearable. The titanium case and bracelet keep the weight to a mere 83g, with a case size of 47.5 x 42.8mm and a notably slim 9.5mm thickness. A one-touch triple-fold clasp with slide adjustment covers wrists from 150 to 195mm, making it practical as well as pretty.

Solar power with a smart streak

As for tech, the watch is loaded with it too. Under the hood, the OCW-S7000F-2A mixes old-school accuracy with modern convenience. Tough Solar charging delivers around five months on a full charge, stretching to roughly 19 months in power-saving mode. Timekeeping is handled via Bluetooth sync or Multiband 6 radio signals across Japan, North America, Europe and China.

Pair it with the Casio Watches app and you get world time for up to 300 cities, battery status checks, phone-tracking and easy function setup.

Everyday features including a calendar, 24-hour stopwatch, date and day display, and automatic hand-position correction are included too. Add to that 10-bar water resistance, a titanium carbide coating for scratch resistance, and Japanese manufacture, and this Oceanus feels thoughtfully crafted.

For those who like their tech discreet, dependable and dressed in blue, Casio’s latest Manta makes a strong, understated case. That’s if you can digest the Rs 1.3 lakh price tag.
