Budget smartwatches have grown very popular in markets like India. They can display notifications, monitor your vitals, make and take calls, and offer multiple customisation options. However, what has always set these affordable smartwatches apart from premium watches, is the lack of a full-fledged operating system with app support.

Enter the Fire-Boltt Dream, the first affordable smartwatch to do just this. Here’s everything you need to know about the watch.

Fire-Boltt Dream: Features and specifications

The Fire-Boltt Dream is more of a mini smartphone on your wrist, than a watch. It has all the usual bells and whistles of a smartwatch, but can also download and run Android apps, as well as fit in a 4G LTE SIM card.

That last bit is something that differentiates the watch from premium competitors too. Unlike the Apple Watch series or Galaxy Watch series, which offer network connectivity via eSIM support, the Fire-Boltt Dream actually has a slot for a SIM card, allowing you to throw in any nano-SIM and have it up and running.

Meanwhile, app support on the watch allows you to do things you couldn’t do on most affordable smartwatches before. These include chatting on WhatsApp, watching YouTube videos or even scrolling through social media feeds like Instagram.
