Say goodbye to low resolution instant camera photos

Fujifilm Instax Link smartphone photo printer series launched in India

There’s something about a moment in time, frozen in a polaroid, stuck on your refrigerator, or somewhere around your desk in office. Perhaps no picture on your Instagram account, no matter how many likes or comments it has, comes close.

It comes as no surprise that many of us love a good instant camera. However, a common pet peeve people often have with instant cameras is the image quality, which is just about average. Well, Fujifilm has just introduced its Instax Link series of smartphone printers, to help you click high-resolution images on your smartphone and print them on the go.

The new Fujifilm Instax Link range of smartphone printers consists of three models – the Mini Link 2, the Square Link, and the Link Wide. These printers can print pictures saved on your smartphone gallery instantaneously, via the Instax Biz app.

The Instax Mini Link 2 is compatible with card-sized Instax films, and can even print pictures that are personalised and edited via the app, using functions such as Spray Art. It also has other nifty features, including sharable messages, a printable QR code, and more. The printer also allows for pictures to be printed in natural mode, or rich mode, depending on how vivid you’d like for the colours to appear in them.

Coming to the Instax Square Link printer, it can print pictures in just 90 seconds. Moreover, it comes with a rechargeable battery. The Square Link smartphone printer can also add special effects and doodles to pictures. It even allows one to superimpose images on pre-existing images, using the Instax Connect app.

The Instax Link Wide can print images from your smartphone on a wide format film, which happens to be twice the size of the regular card-size prints from the other two printers. This ensures a user’s wide-angle shots from their smartphones, are now never cropped while printing.

The Instax Mini Link 2 is available in soft pink, clay white, and space blue colors. Its prices start at Rs 13,999 for just the printer and go all the way up to Rs 20,999 depending on the kit you purchase. The kit refers to the number and types of films you purchase to print your images.

The Instax Square Link printer is available in plain ash white and midnight green colours. It starts at Rs 20,999 and goes up to Rs 28,999 depending on the number and types of the kit you choose to purchase with the same.

On the other hand, the Instax Link Wide is available in ash white and mocha grey colours. Again, it starts at Rs 21,999 and goes up to Rs 29,999 depending on the kit you purchase with it.
