Fans of the Google ecosystem have a new entry point to the world of Pixels, thanks to this new Republic Day Sale deal from Croma. The company’s latest mid-range phone, the Google Pixel 9a, was launched fairly recently last year in March – and it’s already available at a highly discounted price.
The phone is currently sitting at Rs 39,999, which is already Rs 10,000 off the usual ask. But with the right card, you can score it for even cheaper.
How to get this deal
Head over to Croma’s website or pop into one of their stores and grab the Pixel 9a 5G in your preferred colour. The phone comes in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Iris, so you’ve got options.
The base discount of Rs 10,000 applies automatically, dropping that Rs 49,999 MRP down to Rs 39,999. But if you pay with an HDFC Bank credit card, you’ll score an instant Rs 5,000 discount plus six months of no-cost EMI.
Just make sure the Pixel 9a is the only item in your cart when checking out as that’s crucial for the bank offer to work.
Why the Google Pixel 9a is a good buy
The Pixel 9a packs Google’s Tensor G4 chip alongside 8GB of RAM, which means you’re getting flagship-level AI features without the flagship price tag.
As for cameras, you’re looking at a 48MP main sensor paired with a 13MP ultrawide, and both can shoot 4K video at up to 60fps. The main sensor just also happens to be the same sensor you’re getting on the much pricier Pixel 10, though even that’s selling for a discount this Republic Day.

Besides that, you get a 6.3-inch pOLED display runs at 120Hz and gets properly bright at 2700 nits peak brightness. For battery, Google claims over 30 hours on a single charge, and that 5100mAh cell supports 45W fast charging when you need to top up quickly. There’s also wireless charging if that’s your thing.
But perhaps the biggest selling point is that clean minimalist software that comes with all the Google apps and services you’d possibly need pre-loaded and ready to go. You’re also promised an impressive seven years of OS updates.
