Google Pixel 10a certification reveals all the major specs well before launch

Back in October, a report offered the first look at the upcoming Google Pixel 10a through leaked CAD renders. The images revealed that the device’s design will be almost identical to this year’s Pixel 9a. In a new development, a document shared by veteran tipster Evan Blass has confirmed that the Pixel 10a has been certified for use on Verizon’s network in the US.

The leaked document shows that the Google Pixel 10a will feature a 6.285-inch plastic AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The display will also support a variable refresh rate with 60Hz and 120Hz options.

For selfies and video calls, the Pixel 10a will offer a 13MP front camera. On the back, it is said to house a 48MP main camera paired with a 13MP ultra-wide snapper.

The device will include 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a 5,100mAh battery. While it is unclear whether additional configurations will be offered, an 8GB+256GB model, similar to the Pixel 9a, is a possibility.

Although the certification listing details several major specifications, there is no mention of the chipset. However, other rumours suggest that the Pixel 10a may inherit the Pixel 9a’s Tensor G4 chipset.

The new leak indicates that the Google Pixel 10a may resemble the Pixel 9a not only externally but also internally. The document also states that the Pixel 10a is the only phone engineered by Google, bringing Google AI at a compelling value.

Google Pixel 10a launch timeframe (expected)

There is currently no fresh information regarding the Pixel 10a’s launch date. Considering that the Pixel 9a debuted in March this year, its successor is also likely to be announced around the same month next year.
