HMD has launched a new tablet for those on a budget. Despite being a budget tablet, it features a crisp 2K display and packs a large battery for days of usage. It also has 4G connectivity, however runs on an older Android operating system. Here’s everything you need to know.
All about the HMD T21 tablet
The HMD T21 comes with a 10.36-inch display featuring a 2K resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. It’s an IPS LCD screen with 400 nits of brightness. HMD says that it uses toughened glass for protection against drops and scratches.
Powering the tablet is the Unisoc T612 octa-core processor, which is paired with the Mali-G57 GPU for graphical needs. The device has 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The tablet also has an 8MP rear camera and another 8MP sensor on the front for selfies and video meetings. It boasts stereo speakers and dual microphones.
The tablet also has 4G connectivity, meaning you can seamlessly make and receive calls even without Wi-Fi. Although it also has Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS support.
One of the highlights of the device is the massive 8,200mAh battery inside. It supports 18W charging, which isn’t that fast but should get the job done. Lastly, the tablet boots on the older Android 13 OS, but is upgradable to Android 14. Notably, newer tablets come with Android 15 out of the box.

As for how much it costs, the HMD T21 is priced at Rs 15,999 for the lone 8GB + 128GB variant. However, it can be purchased at a special offer price of Rs 14,499.
In the same price segment, you can also check out the Lenovo Tab Plus and the OnePlus Pad Go. Both offer large screens and a big battery.
