How NVIDIA RTX GPUs are bringing AI power to everyday computing

NVIDIA’s range of GPUs has been powering gaming laptops and desktops for years. But the company that’s responsible for making console games such as Red Dead Redemption and Marvel’s Spider-Man run smoothly on your PC has also been working on AI.

The company’s latest GPUs, the GeForce RTX series and the NVIDIA RTX series, are at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into everyday computer tasks, significantly broadening their utility beyond traditional gaming applications.

Here’s how:

1. Live streaming and content creation

The GeForce RTX GPUs will transform ordinary PCs into advanced content creation studios. So, if you’re a live streamer or video creator, you can create better virtual backgrounds without having to invest in a physical studio setup.

Similarly, AI-powered noise reduction technologies can also clean up audio and remove unwanted background sounds effectively.

Most impressively, it can also drive the Eye-Contact feature that adjusts your gaze to make it seem that you’re looking directly at the camera. This means you’ll be able to better engage with the viewer without having to make manual adjustments.

2. Content creation tools

To be sure, the capabilities of NVIDIA GPUs extend beyond live streaming. They also serve as the backbone for several content-creation software tools. These include industry-standard applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender, Davinci Resolve, OBS Studio, and Blackmagic.

Whether it’s an elementary image edit or a complex video production workflow, the new NVIDIA GPUs that integrate AI make these tasks faster and more precise. So, even if you are an amateur creator, you can achieve professional or close-to-professional results without having to spend too much time.

3. 3D rendering

NVIDIA RTX GPUs also make 3D rendering processes faster. This makes it possible for the graphic artist in you to iterate your designs rapidly and make real-time adjustments without a terribly long wait that is standard when it comes to rendering complex visuals. This also means advanced use cases like AI upscaling and ray reconstruction (often used in games for accurate lighting effects) are possible in real-time.

4. Gaming and game development

NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs don’t just make high-end gaming possible, but also better with technologies like DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling). PCs powered by RTX GPUs can leverage AI power for better resolution and a higher framerate on hundreds of games.

This also extends to Game Development. Thanks to NVIDIA’s RTX Remix tool, game developers can now leverage AI to do everything from creating mods to enhancing in-game textures much more quickly and easily. AI also makes elements like facial animation much less time-consuming for game developers.

5. Productivity

AI is not just for creators, gamers and developers; its usage extends to everyday tasks too. Yes, we’re looking at you who ChatGPTs your way through all email correspondences!

NVIDIA’s Chat with RTX tool, for instance, leverages the GPU’s capabilities to assist with writing documents, summarising texts, etc right on your device. Tools like RTX Video Super Resolution can also enhance video playback quality, automatically upscaling most browser-based videos to sharper, clearer 4K resolution. So you won’t ever have to watch a pixelated video in your life.

NVIDIA’s RTX tech is responsible for powering some of the world’s biggest cloud-based AI tools including ChatGPT, Midjourney, Microsoft Copilot and many more. With an RTX-powered laptop/desktop, you also have the power of AI right at your fingertips, wherever and whenever you need it.
