Instagram Edits gets new AI style fonts, precise controls, and better content discovery

Instagram Edits is getting a fresh set of features. The update adds improved editing controls, AI-powered styling, and better content discovery to the free video creation and editing app developed by the Meta-owned platform. The Edits app is primarily useful for Reel creators and social media professionals, offering more granular control than the main Instagram app. 

Instagram Edits app gets helpful new features

The latest update brings a Dhurandhar-style font that is inspired by the blockbuster Bollywood movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge. It is available for a limited period and is accessible on both Android and iOS devices. Users can find this new font in the text tool located within the editor interface while creating a new reel on the Edits app.

Instagram is also introducing AI style within the fonts tool. This means that users can generate custom font styles instantly instead of having to rely on preset typography. The transform tool now gains more precise controls. Users can position, scale, and rotate with greater accuracy. There’s also a built-in keyframe support for smoother animations and polished visual transitions.

The popular photo and video-sharing platform is also enhancing template creation on Edits. Creators can build complex templates with motion elements, adjustable speed, and transitions.

Lastly, Instagram is improving the search functionality within the Edits app. Users can find reels and accounts to link more quickly. They can also access their own previously created content for reuse faster. 

The new set of features are rolling out for both Android and iOS users. Make sure to update the Edits apps to the latest version on the Play Store and App Store.
