Apple’s next slate of iPhones has been in the news for a while now. But there hasn’t been any information about its launch date. Now, a new report hints that Apple’s iPhone 17 series launch is set for September, which is in line with its yearly launch schedule.

Apple iPhone 17: Expected launch date and key features
Despite some speculations about its new yearly launch timelines, Apple appears to be sticking to its usual September launch timeline. The latest report hints that the lineup will debut in the second week of September. Having said that, we still have around three more months to go.
During the pre-launch buzz, some details about the iPhone lineup have been leaked. Reports suggest that there will be four models, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. So, Apple is ditching the Plus model, as per several reports.
Nonetheless, the iPhone 17 Air will be the highlight in the lineup. The device is said to be one of the slimmest iPhones, featuring a lightweight design. It will compete directly with the Galaxy S25 Edge.
The rest of the iPhones will have a similar form factor. The iPhone 17 may get a 6.3-inch screen, up from 6.1 inches on the predecessor. The iPhone 17 Air may feature a 6.6-inch display, and the iPhone 17 Pro could get a 6.3-inch panel. The iPhone 17 Pro Max, on the other hand, could feature an expansive 6.9-inch display.
This time around, all models may get 120Hz ProMotion display, offering smooth scrolling. As for performance, the Pro models could be powered by Apple’s A19 Pro chipset. The other models may have the non-pro version.

Apart from this, we may see an upgraded 24MP camera on the front of all iPhones. Other upgrades could be Wi-Fi 7 and the latest iOS version, which may be called iOS 26 to match the current year.
