iQOO has officially confirmed with a post on Weibo that its upcoming Z10 Turbo+ will be one of the very first smartphones to support a silky 144Hz frame rate in the upcoming Valorant mobile title.
This news drops just days before the phone’s August 7 release, setting a collision course for its launch and the game’s own debut. If you are planning to buy a gaming phone or just curious about Valorant’s mobile debut, continue to read.
Both phone and game set to release soon
A proper war seems to be brewing for the honour of being “first”. Over at a recent Chinese expo, OnePlus China President Louis Li made a similar boast. He announced that OnePlus phones would also be among the first to unlock the 144Hz mode in Valorant mobile. As for the game itself, it’s officially christened Valorant: Primal and lands on August 19.
It’s worth mentioning here that this is not just a quick PC port. Riot Games has teamed up with Tencent’s Photon Studio Group to bring this game to mobile.
The developers have apparently worked extensively with top mobile FPS players through numerous testing phases to get the feel just right. The promise is to maintain the slick visual style of the PC original while ensuring it runs smoothly on phone hardware.
The iQOO Z10 Turbo+ sounds like it was practically forged for this task with its MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ – a flagship chipset – paired with a gigantic 8,000mAh battery. iQOO boasts this unit can sustain a massive 20 hours of continuous MOBA gaming. Even when you do drain it, a nine-minute charge will provide you with another three hours of play.

Everything will be displayed on a flat OLED panel that hits 2,000 nits of peak brightness. It’s unclear if the phone will launch in India as iQOO is yet to breathe a word on that. We’ll be covering it when the brand does, so stay tuned.
In the same price range, however, you can check out other phones available in India that are meant for both work and play. This includes the OnePlus Nord 5, which also has a fast 144Hz screen, and the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, which blends style with power.
