Lenovo’s tiny 4K shooter could be the new darling of vloggers

In a world where every phone is fighting for your attention, Lenovo just quietly dropped something that might actually deserve it – a dedicated digital camera with a 64MP sensor, 4K video support, and a design that’s unapologetically aimed at the next-gen creator crowd. Oh, and it’s priced under Rs 6,000 (499 yuan). It’s not a typo.

Lenovo C55: All you need to know

Meet the Lenovo C55, a pocketable digital camera that’s equal parts minimalist chic and maximalist functionality. It’s the kind of gadget that feels like it was dreamed up in a late-night brainstorm between an Instagram influencer and an engineer who’s tired of smartphone compromises.

Let’s cut to the chase. For roughly the price of a high-end dinner for two, Lenovo is offering a 1/3-inch Sony CMOS sensor with a whopping 64MP resolution, capable of 18x digital zoom.

It’s designed to deliver crisp, vibrant images with a level of detail that, honestly, you wouldn’t expect from something this affordable. And it shoots 4K video, front and back, thanks to dual cameras that are just waiting for you to hit record on your next vlog.

It’s got this smart rotary dial that lets you glide between photo and video modes, with instant access to features like burst mode, time-lapse, slow-mo, and even loop recording. For late-night creators and selfie enthusiasts, the dual O-shaped LED ring lights offer a glow-up that’s pure influencer-approved.

The 2.8-inch LCD screen gives you just enough real estate to preview your shots or tweak settings on the fly, and electronic image stabilisation (EIS) keeps your handheld videos smooth enough.

All this is packed into a slim, stylish chassis that weighs just 190 grams and measures barely bigger than a deck of cards. Lenovo even throws in a wrist strap and storage pouch, leaning hard into that ‘grab-and-go’ ethos.

The 1,300mAh battery promises up to two hours of still shooting or about 80 minutes of continuous video recording, which is more than enough for a quick shoot day or on-the-go capture session.

You can expand storage up to 128GB with a TF card, giving you room to play without constantly offloading files. Lenovo isn’t pretending this is a pro rig; it’s a camera for everyday creators, casual vloggers, and anyone who’s just tired of their phone being the only camera in their life.

Lenovo C55: Pricing and availability

The Lenovo C55 is available in a crisp white finish, and it has launched in the Chinese market for now. It is priced competitively at 499 yuan (approx. Rs 5,890) for the 64GB version, or 559 yuan (approx. Rs 7,100) if you want to max out storage at 128GB.
