Lenovo Legion 9i launched: 5 features to look out for on the latest gaming laptop

Lenovo has been rather busy lately, having unveiled a slew of new laptops in India – including the IdeaPad, ThinkPad, and the LOQ line-up of gaming laptops. Now, the brand has come out with yet another new offering, this time in the Legion series. It’s called the Legion 9i. Read on to know about the top-five features and everything else about Lenovo’s latest Legion laptop.

1. RTX 4090 GPU

The Lenovo Legion 9i can be equipped with up to a 32GB Nvidia RTX 4090 GPU, which currently happens to be the most powerful GPU for laptops and desktops. This, coupled with the Intel Core i9-13980HX processor and 32GB of 6400MHz overclocked dual-channel DDR5 RAM, makes the Legion 9i more than capable of handling all the AAA titles you can throw at it all day.

2. Integrated Liquid Cooling

Owing to the extremely powerful hardware, it is natural that the Legion 9i can heat up from time to time. To tackle just that, it comes equipped with Lenovo’s Coldfront liquid cooling system – one of the very few laptops in India to do so.

The system, developed in collaboration with Cooler Master, kicks in the moment the laptop reaches temperatures of 84 degrees celsius. What’s more, there is also an AI-tuned triple-fan air system to help things along as well.

3. Display and 3D Audio

The Lenovo Legion 9i sports a 3.2K mini-LED display, with a 94 per cent screen-to-body ratio, meaning it has extremely thin bezels, and a 165HZ refresh rate, which provides for a smooth gaming experience at all times. On the audio front, the laptop provides for 3D audio immersion, with Nahimic by Steel Series 3D sound driver.

4. Head tracking capabilities

The Lenovo Legion 9i features Tobii Horizon software, which gives the laptop gearless head-tracking capabilities for players. Using head tracking, the laptop can direct the in-game camera by mimicking a player’s natural head movements, as well as help adapt the game’s audio to their movements.

5. On-board AI chip

The Lenovo Legion 9i sports the LA-2 AI chip on board. Just a few neat tricks that the chip has up its sleeve, happen to be auto-adjustment for power, a smart FPS feature, and synchronising the Legion Spectrum RGB on both – the keyboard’s per-key TrueStrike RGB system, as well as the pulsating Legion logo on the top cover.
