AI hub that learns your lifestyle and talks back

LG ThinQ ON AI home hub launched at IFA 2025 makes your home feel alive

At IFA 2025, LG has unveiled ThinQ ON, an AI home hub designed to transform connected living. Unlike traditional hubs, it understands natural language, predicts routines, and creates personalised environments without constant input. Tell it you’re going to bed, and it lowers the lights, adjusts curtains, cools the room, and shifts the air purifier into quiet mode.

Even layered commands like turning off the AC, starting the vacuum, and scheduling the dehumidifier an hour later are remembered and executed seamlessly. Certified with the open Matter standard, ThinQ ON plays well with a wide range of smart devices via Wi-Fi and Thread, making it a flexible foundation for the AI home.

9 IoT devices, one ecosystem

Alongside ThinQ ON, LG introduced nine IoT devices that slot neatly into the ecosystem. The devices include:

– Smart door lock
– Voice controller
– Smart button
– Smart plug
– Smart light switch
– Air quality sensor
– Temperature and humidity sensor
– Door sensor
– Motion and light sensors

Each device is designed for simple control through the ThinQ app and has already picked up international design awards for its unobtrusive styling. Together, they bring intelligence into everyday routines.

For instance, you’ve got a door lock that alerts you when someone enters, a smart button that controls multiple devices at once, or sensors that trigger appliances based on air quality, humidity, or movement. Even non-smart appliances can be managed remotely with plugs and switches, making the system more inclusive than most ecosystems.

Beyond the living room

LG also previewed how ThinQ ON could extend into mobility, with its Schpilaum concept car hinting at an AI lifestyle that moves with you. By linking home, devices, and vehicles, LG’s vision of the smart home goes beyond convenience, nudging towards a connected environment that feels responsive, intuitive, and alive.
