Competitive clicks go fully inductive

Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike gaming mouse swaps switches for haptics

Logitech G has a new idea about how a gaming mouse should click. Part of the Logitech G portfolio, the $179.99 (~Rs 16,300) Pro X2 Superstrike, first teased last September and now officially on sale, ditches traditional mechanical microswitches in favour of an inductive, haptic-based system. Its goal is to shave off latency and let competitive players fine-tune how their clicks behave, down to the millimetre.

Called Superstrike, the tech replaces the familiar physical switch with an inductive analogue sensing system paired with real-time haptic feedback.

Instead of a fixed actuation point, players can adjust exactly where a click registers and how it resets, all through Logitech’s G HUB software. In theory, it is less “one-size-fits-all” and more like tweaking your in-game sensitivity or keybinds before a tournament. Here’s everything you need to know about Logitech’s novel Superstrike gaming mouse.

Rewriting the click meta

The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike offers 0.6mm of click travel, 10 actuation levels and five rapid trigger reset settings. When you press down, the system generates haptic feedback on actuation and again on reset, with adjustable intensity. Logitech claims this setup can cut click latency by up to 30 milliseconds compared to conventional mechanical designs.

For competitive players, that is the equivalent of shaving a few frames off your reaction time. It will not magically boost your K/D ratio, but in esports where margins are measured in milliseconds, even small gains can matter.

Logitech developed the mouse alongside pro teams including G2 Esports, NAVI and BLG, with G2’s Caps likening the change to moving from public servers to a LAN environment.

Under the shell, the mouse runs Logitech G’s Hero 2 sensor and supports an 8kHz polling rate over Lightspeed wireless. Tracking is rated at 44,000 DPI, 888 inches per second and 88G acceleration, with no smoothing or acceleration applied. The hardware remains tournament-friendly at 65 grams, with PTFE feet shaped to keep friction low.

Battery life is quoted at up to 90 hours under constant motion, which should comfortably cover long practice blocks and match days.

Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike: Price and availability

The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike is available now in the US for $179.99 (~Rs 16,300). UK pricing has yet to be confirmed, and there is no word on India availability at the time of writing.

Whether the inductive click system becomes the next competitive standard or a niche preference will depend on how players take to it. What do you think of the G Pro X2 Superstrike? Drop a comment with your thoughts.
