Marvel’s Wolverine hits PS5 in September 2026; here’s all you need to know

Sony and developer Insomniac Games have finally pinned down a release date for Marvel’s Wolverine, and it’s coming in September.

The studio, best known for its Spider-Man titles, is now gearing up to bring Logan into the spotlight with a standalone story coming exclusively to the PS5 (at least for now).

Here’s when the game releases on PS5, and everything you can expect.

Here’s when Wolverine will hit stores

Marvel’s Wolverine will launch on September 15, 2026. The game was first announced back in 2021 and was expected to arrive early, but faced a couple of delays, including a major leak in 2023. But the game’s finally coming, and it’s releasing a month ahead of GTA 6.

The game will be released exclusively for PS5 this year. It’s unclear when it will land on PC and other consoles.

What to expect?

Marvel’s Wolverine is set to deliver a darker, more intense take on the original Wolverine. The game will focus on Logan’s search to uncover secrets tied to his mysterious past. You can expect great storytelling, brutal combat, and full-blown action.

While full gameplay details remain under wraps, it is positioned as one of Sony’s biggest first-party releases, focusing on a standalone story rather than a shared universe setup.
