5 new games coming to Apple Arcade in May 2025

Summer holidays are officially upon us, and Apple has just announced five new games to dismiss the afternoon boredom. Whether you’re a serious mobile gamer or someone who likes to game casually in their free time, every now and then, these new titles to the Apple Arcade library are for just about everyone. Check out everything you need to know about the latest additions to the hub.

Apple introduces 5 new Apple Arcade games

If you’re an Apple Arcade subscriber, you will be able to enjoy the following titles starting next month. Read on to learn more about them:

1. What the Clash? by Triband

Indie developer Triband’s exclusive new game What the Clash? is a fun multiplayer game that builds on the success of its predecessor, What the Car?. The latter even won the Mobile Game of the Year award at last year’s DI.C.E Awards.

The game typically allows players to control the Hand (a stretchy hand with legs) and they can customise it with several unlockable items during the course of the game. Players also battle opponents in chaotic mini-games ranging from table tennis to archery.

2. My Buddy by Nelio Inc.

If you’re not into games that get your adrenalin pumping, you can opt for a relaxing simulation title known as My Buddy. The game introduces you to adorable virtual pets (such as cats or dogs) that you can look after. The simulation resembles real pets, and players can interact with breeds like Shiba Inu, Toy Poodle, French Bulldog, Labrador Retriever, American Shorthair and Scottish Fold.

Apart from taking care of them, you will be able to dress them up in costumes and customise their room decor to make them more comfortable at home!

3. LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+ by StoryToys

Play with Aliya, Autumn, Nova, Leo, and Liann as they take you on a fast-paced race on LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+. What’s more, you can also customise your vehicle with a variety of colours, tyres and other visual elements and decals to spruce up your vehicle.

The game takes you through a brightly lit city where you can collect objects, avoid obstacles and complete top-secret missions to unlock new in-game content.

4. Words of Wonders: Search+ by Fugo Games

If you’re a wordsmith, you’re probably going to love Words of Wonders: Search+ by Fugo Games. The puzzle and spelling game challenges your vocabulary and allow players to find hidden words on a grid. But this isn’t just an ordinary spelling game, you will also be taken on a journey around the world to explore cities and discover the hidden secrets of the seven wonders of the world.

As the game advances, players will come across new vocabulary and increasingly more challenging puzzles. Although educational, the game skilfully combines mystery with casual gameplay.  

5. SUMI SUMI: Matching Puzzle+ by Imagineer

Lastly, SUMI SUMI: Matching Puzzle+ is a matching game featuring characters from San-X, and players have to tap-to-match to cross a level. The visually appealing strategy game comes with plenty of familiar faces, including Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, as well as Tarepanda and requires players to navigate through themed maps.

The game is designed to be engaging, challenging and, of course, cute. And if that’s not nearly enough, it also comes with a host of levels that ensure there’s never a dull day with the game!

Apple introduces 5 new Apple Arcade games: Availability details

The five new titles are all set to expand to Apple Arcade for those with a subscription starting May 1 and will also make their way to iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.

The subscription package is available to users in India for Rs 99 a month, with a month-long free trial for new subscribers. Moreover, the service is also included in Apple One subscription bundles, with a family subscription allowing up to six family members to access the entire game catalogue.
