Nothing finally brings Ear (Open) to India with all-day battery and airy design

If you’ve been waiting for Nothing’s most daring pair of earbuds to land in India, the wait is over. The Nothing Ear (Open) has officially arrived, blending its see-through aesthetic with an open-ear design that keeps the world in earshot while still serving up a wallop of bass. Here’s everything you need to know about the newly-launched Nothing Ear (Open).

Nothing Ear (Open): A design that doesn’t close you off

Forget the pressure of in-ear plugs. The Ear (Open) takes a different route with a curved headband that gently wraps around your ear, delivering a snug yet breathable fit. Instead of sealing you off from traffic, colleagues, or your morning barista, these buds let ambient sound slip in naturally.

Inside, a custom diaphragm and beefy 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers are tuned with a ‘Bass Enhance’ algorithm, proving that open-ear doesn’t have to mean flat sound. And yes, they look the part; the white buds housed in an oval charging case keep the Nothing design language intact.

Nothing Ear (Open): Smarter calls, longer sessions

The Ear (Open) also packs AI-powered Clear Voice 3.0 with dual mics, built to keep wind noise from wrecking your calls. Bluetooth 5.3 brings slick tricks like Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual device connection and a low-latency 120ms mode for gaming sessions.

Battery life is another headline number. You get 30 hours in total with the case, and a solid eight hours from the buds alone. A 10-minute pit stop gives you two hours of playback, which is perfect for a rushed morning commute.

Other extras include an IP54 rating, pinch controls, an advanced equaliser, and even ChatGPT integration for those who like their earbuds a little more futuristic. What you won’t find here is Active Noise Cancellation, but that’s the trade-off for an airy open-ear style.
